The state-of-the-art SRF/RDF Production Plant of ECORECOVERY (NORDECO SRF/RDF Plant) has been operational since 2016 at the Industrial Area of Sindos in Neochorouda Oreokastro Thessaloniki, providing fully integrated services in Solid Non-Hazardous Waste Recovery.
Due to its flexible and automated design, the Facility is able to manage volumes up to 60,000tn/year of Commercial and Industrial (C&I) waste in total, with a recovery rate that exceeds 97%. Proven know-how and constantly growing experience are combined with standard processing methods and systematic Quality Control monitoring, to guarantee that the manufactured SRF/RDF meets any given specifications according to International Standards (ISO 21640:2021:E / 2021-05 / ICS 75.160.10 “Solid Recovered Fuels - Specifications and Classes”).
Technology & Processing
The engineering design of the SRF/RDF Production Line employs a flexible modular structure of the processing stages, allowing for a variety of waste streams with diverse characteristics to be handled effectively. From pre-shredding and manual sorting to fine shredding of the final product, the intermediate process includes stages that use sorting technologies based on material, size, weight and shape, ultimately discarding inerts and/or foreign parts from the waste stream thus resulting to an SRF/RDF throughput with the desired physicochemical parameters.
